Late February at the Han River: A Touch of Spring
The Han River, one of Seoul’s most iconic landmarks, takes on a new charm with each passing season. As the chill of winter gradually fades, the river in late February begins to embrace the warmth of the sun, signaling the slow arrival of spring.
Sunlit Waters of the Han River
Today, the Han River sparkles brilliantly under a clear, blue sky. The sunlight reflects off the water’s surface, creating shimmering silver waves that dance with the gentle breeze. Walking along the riverbank, one can sense the coexistence of winter’s farewell and the quiet tiptoeing of spring.
A Warm Atmosphere Along the River
On this day, February 24th, I took a stroll along the Han River. The warmth of the air lightly touched my skin as I walked, making me feel the subtle shift of seasons. Though the trees still stretch out their bare branches, hints of spring can be seen emerging here and there. A slight breeze blows, but rather than feeling cold, the sun’s warmth creates a refreshing and pleasant atmosphere.
A Livelier Han River
Today, more people have come out to enjoy the pleasant weather along the Han River. Foreign travelers in light clothing stroll leisurely along the riverside, while couples and groups of friends quietly enjoy their walks. Although the peak spring season for outings has not yet arrived, it’s clear that the Han River is slowly regaining its lively energy.
The Joy of a Springtime Walk
As I walk along the sun-drenched paths of the Han River, I feel a growing sense of excitement for the new season ahead. Simply taking a walk here brings a deep sense of peace, making me feel that spring is truly on its way. Seoul, with its vast and refreshing riverside, is truly a wonderful place.
With March approaching, the Han River will soon become even warmer and more vibrant. But for now, isn’t it lovely to save this special moment where winter and spring coexist? Here’s a glimpse of Seoul and the Han River as spring slowly arrives.
